bonbons and confections 2.png

A bonbon is a sweet or small confection. The name bonbon arose from the reduplication of the word bon, meaning 'good' in the French language.

As we are native to Eastern NC, we are inspired by the local fare, our childhood, and the people in our communities, along with our adventures outside the area.  We use local whenever we can (Hello Simply Natural Creamery right down the road, & peanuts, pecans, sweet strawberries that grow in our backyard), and our creations vary by the day, week, and seasons.

Our delicious treats include classic bonbons filled with creamy chocolate ganache or sweet, smooth peanut butter.  Festive flavors of the holiday season including cool, creamy peppermint or spring's refreshing strawberry hibiscus.  Bottom line, we love all classic flavors, but absolutely find it delightful to experiment.

Pecan gianduja (sweet chocolate spread made with pecans), sea salt caramels dipped in chocolate & topped with Emerald Isle Sea Salt, turtles, & the occasional cake pop make the rounds as well.

We use our house chocolate made with our Ecuadorian Beans from Camino Verde Fermintary for our bonbons & confections.  The cocoa beans are of the Neo Nacional variety, and have fudgy, floral, and almond tasting notes.

Chocolate knows no boundaries; speaks all languages; comes in all sizes; is woven through many cultures and disciplines … it impacts mood, health, and economics, and it is a part of our lives from early childhood through the elderly years.
